Food on Pikey Peak Trek

Generally, Nepal has a variety of different foods. You can expect the dishes as per your choice during trekking. But, in Pikey peak, Very commonly, most of the tea houses, community home-stay, lodges, and guest houses offer Dal Bhat. Dal Bhat is very popular in Nepal as national food and most of the trekker love to eat it.

Accommodation on Pikey Peak Trek

Generally, most of the trekking is based on tea houses where the accommodation will be basic. You will be staying in a tea house with a sharing room, no heating, no showers, and a common bathroom. Wifi and communication will be only accessed in few guesthouses. You need to pay extra for wifi and hot showers, but this will be in a small amount.

But, in Kathmandu before departure to trekking and after, you will have choices to stay in Super luxury hotels to budget guesthouses. Most of the hotels in Kathmandu have basic amenities like air conditioning, television, free wifi and hot/cold showers with private bathroom.

Pikey Peak Difficulty

Pikey peak trek is a non-touristy trekking route and the best for beginners. The daily walking will be easier. You will walk around 4-6 hours a day during trekking. While ascending to the Pikey peak (4070m), you may feel challenging, but your guide will make you comfortable for you.

Altitude Sickness

While trekking in the Himalayas, there might be a risk of getting altitude sickness. If you are not an experienced hiker, you may have. Even, experienced trekker and hiker may have altitude sickness.
